Montenegro’s border with Albania
There are four road and one rail border crossing points on the border between Montenegro. Another checkpoint is currently under construction.

⚠️Please note that the railway station only handles freight trains, as there is no passenger rail service between Montenegro and Albania.
💡In addition, it is possible to cross outside the checkpoint for tourists traveling on a tourist route after approval of a preliminary online application. [2] .
⛔The Zogaj checkpoint on the shore of Lake Skadar is under construction and is not currently operational.
⛔The checkpoint across the Buna River, in the Ada Bayana area, was in the design stage and has not yet been built. [3] .

⛔The Nudo – Aranđelovo, Biteljica, Krstac, and Mestrevac border crossing points are border control points and are only accessible to residents of nearby settlements. Tourists cannot use them without special permission in exceptional cases. [4] .
Montenegro’s border with Kosovo
Kosovo is a partially recognized state located south of Serbia. Serbia and a number of other countries consider this territory to be part of Serbia.
Montenegro also shares a border with Kosovo. There is one border crossing on this border.

⛔ The checkpoint on the M9 highway (Qakorr, Kućište), through which Google Maps regularly routes, has not existed for many years. Crossing here is prohibited. The road is blocked by concrete blocks.
Hikers, cyclists, and motorcyclists can obtain permission to cross the border at this location. To do so, you will need to go to the border police station in Plav and pay a fee of €4 per person, providing your passport details.
💡Here, tourists traveling along the Balkan Peaks route can also pass through the checkpoint after their preliminary application has been approved. [1] .
Montenegro’s border with Serbia
Serbia and Montenegro are separated by hundreds of kilometers of border. There are five checkpoints and one railway crossing (on the Belgrade–Bar train line) in this section.
